"Sorry We Were Born" is a collection of 49 poems written by youngsters who were residents of Shanti House. A different design was sensitively created for each poem by designer Eddie Goldfine. These candid texts offer insight into the lives and souls of street-dwelling children. This is a unique, emotional human document created by youths who courageously released the shackles of suffering, and found their inner sources of light through faith, forgiveness, love, hope and optimism.
